Increase Your Rankings On Google with Incoming Links
I have been getting many emails lately asking "How can I increase my rankings in Google". I always tell people that the game still remains the same when it comes to Google rankings, increase the number of "quality" incoming links and you should start to see results over time. When ranking website's Google still is given a large amount of importantance on quality of incoming links, anchor text and historical data.
Some data that Google might consider when valuing links
1. Anchor text and the discovery date of links are recorded.
2. Log the appearance and disappearance of a link over time.
3. Growth rates of links and of independent peer documents.
4. Changes in the anchor texts over a given period of time.
5. Log a distribution rating for the age of all links.
6. Value link age on pages as higher then new links.
7. Value links higher on new or continually changing pages of a site.
8. Google indicates that it is better if link growth remains constant and slow.
9. Google indicates that anchor texts should be varied as much as possible.
10. Google indicates that burst link growth may be a strong indicator of search engine spam.
Some points to consider when building your incoming links.
